01. The hidden side of inclusion: no one left behind
Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of their differences, felt deeply seen, heard and considered when interacting with organizations at every touch-point of their brands. What could that look like? How could this benefit an organization such as yours, and make you stand out as THE organization to do business with?
In a world where we are increasingly focused on ensuring that everyone feels seen, heard, valued and appreciated, regardless of how they navigate life, organizations and their brands cannot risk missing out on the “hidden side of inclusion” – the ones you may not always “see clearly”, but are always there! Businesses leave millions of dollars on the table annually, directly affecting their bottom line, simply because they don’t know how to be genuinely inclusive of everyone. Whether this is in their marketing and communications, on their website, in their products and services, during a speech, or ingrained into their DEI practices, American businesses are missing out on a market worth well over 559 billions of dollars annually! The good news is, we can do something about it, and it does not take much! Join us on a fantastic journey into the invisible, untapped, and underserved North American disability market, where we’ll discover that with a simple shift in how we see and understand our customer’s differences, as well as a few tweaks to how we communicate and operate, we can build new raving fans, tap into new, underserved markets of customers, and be the organization of choice!

03. Your inaccessible website will get you sued: postcards from the trenches
Website accessibility refers to the practice of making websites usable for people with disabilities, such as those who are blind, deaf, or have mobility impairments. This includes ensuring that people with disabilities can navigate and interact with websites using assistive technologies, such as screen readers or keyboard navigation.
It is important to make websites accessible because it allows everyone to access information and services online, regardless of their circumstances. Unfortunately, over 97% of websites are still not accessible to people with disabilities, which often leads to legal consequences! In the United States, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that all public accommodations, including websites, be accessible to people with disabilities. This means that if your website is not accessible and someone with a disability is unable to use it, you could face a lawsuit. In this webinar, we will share real-life examples of individuals and organizations that have faced legal issues due to the inaccessibility of their websites. We will discuss the steps organizations can take to ensure their websites are compliant with the ADA and other accessibility laws. Did you know?
As it turns out, colourblind audience members are not the only ones who struggle with colour perception! Research shows that retina cells progressively lose sensitivity with age, causing colours to become less bright and contrasts, less noticeable. In particular, blue colours can easily appear faded or “washed out". Are you mindful of how the colours you use in your materials are perceived by ageing members in your audience?
