Denis' presentation was excellent. It was very informative, and really brought aspects of inclusion, diversity and accessibility to the forefront of awareness, with eye-opening information, lots of great resources, and an engaging speaker.

Denis Boudreau was a panellist for the YouMeWe Conscious-Contribution panel series: candid conversations to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at work and beyond. Because of his expertise in technology and communications for people with disabilities, we felt he would bring a unique perspective to this panel. And that he did! Perhaps what the audience and I valued most was his deep insight and concise communications of how diverse people with disabilities need to feel welcome and belong in an organization. He added value way beyond the technology insights (although tech suggestions were eye-opening to the audience). With clarity, passion, and patience, Denis inspired people to act with tools they can use and strategies they can implement—now.

We’ve called on Denis’ expertise on several occasions to bring our websites into compliance with timelines of the Ontarian digital accessibility laws. Denis's contributions have been invaluable to us in a number of ways, particularly during our redesign projects and the transition of Ontarian branches of State Farm under the Desjardins banner. Denis provided our teams with the necessary support to build internal expertise in inclusive design and accessible code, which, in turn, allowed us to maximize our integration of accessibility considerations and ultimately meet Ontarian government requirements.

This training was extremely relevant to me as a front-end developer. Denis really knows his topic and subject matter inside out! I learned a lot and loved pretty much everything about it. It definitely impacted the way I will be approaching my work in the future and the way I test my code.

Denis' presentation and teaching styles were very engaging. I really enjoyed the overall structure of his training, and how the examples he provided made the ideas more understandable and relatable. Anyone can be impacted by accessibility, so making our website more inclusive is beneficial to literally everyone using it. My main takeaway is that when accessibility considerations are part of our process, then it becomes easier for our team to avoid mistakes.

Did you know?
Disabilities come in many shapes and forms, but not all of them are always obvious to the onlooker! According to the Invisible Disabilities Association, 74% of people who have disabilities don't require assistive technologies but still deal with conditions ranging from mild challenges to severe limitations that limit their daily activities. Conditions the rest of us would not be aware of unless they actually told us. Could it be that your audience is more diverse than you think?
