Client testimonials and success stories
In the wake of our efforts towards the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), we called on Denis Boudreau to organize a series of training sessions with the entire TFO staff. Denis' rigor and expertise, demonstrated by his past activities and supported by testimonials from his peers in the industry, his ability to popularize the “science” of accessibility, and his passion for the inclusion and non-discrimination of people with disabilities made him the ideal person to help us understand and assimilate the criteria of the Law, as well as the subtleties of these criteria. Thanks to his collaboration, we successfully established a sustainable accessibility mindset at TFO Media Group.

It was a great training, very clear and adapted to our company's specific needs. I learned a lot about how to design and create a better experience for everyone. I enjoyed all the interactive parts and learning more about disabilities. I now see how designing for people with disabilities in mind can make our products even better for everyone else.

Denis is one of the best web accessibility experts in North America, in addition to having solid UX skills. This expertise was most precious in past projects, where Bell had to make a major shift to integrate accessibility into its processes. Throughout the projects, I had the most wonderful experience working with Denis. His positive approach and his creativity enabled us to find incomparable solutions to the many challenges that stood in our way. During a project, Denis encourages everyone to think about design and welcomes each thought with an open mind. His contribution to the transformation of Bell.ca was exemplary.

Around 2005, the Quebec government decided to establish a set of standards to help ministers and public organizations make their informative and transactional web sites accessible to people with disabilities. At a time when web accessibility expertise was scarce, Denis was already ahead of the curve and the Quebec market. An outstanding collaborator, Denis may have provided me with the best consulting experience I’ve had during my 34-year career as a Quebec public servant. During the six years of our collaboration, Denis regularly demonstrated his ability to listen and his open-mindedness, all cemented by his great sense of humour and good mood.

Usually Denis is the smartest guy in the room. When it comes to accessibility, he adapts on the fly to a changing conversation regardless of its complexity and then injects insightful information. But even with his high accessibility acumen, he never dominates the conversation or makes someone with less acumen feel irrelevant. He considers all the players in a conversation as worthy, and listens well. He makes collaboration easy and has become my go-to guy.

Did you know?
The cost of a relatively simple accessibility-related lawsuit that gets settled quickly in the United States still averages around $350,000 USD or more… which is at least 10 times more expensive than creating your digital content to be more inclusive in the first place by making digital accessibility an integral part of your design and development process. Does it really make sense for your business to run such risks?
