Our Accessibility Policy
For the digital space, accessibility means that people with disabilities, including people with age-related impairments, can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with websites and tools, and that they can contribute equally without prejudice or barriers. As such, we are striving for the highest level of accessibility for people with disabilities and making every reasonable effort to ensure that all of our contents are accessible by persons who use assistive technologies such as screen readers as well as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and other input methods.
We believe and are committed to digital accessibility
As a business, Inklusiv Communication exists for one reason, and one reason only; to help you create a more inclusive world, where your audience is empowered to truly connect with you, your message, and ultimately, your brand. We are committed to improving the accessibility and usability of our websites for the greatest number of people possible.
Our goal is to prevent, identify, and remove barriers that impede the ability of people with disabilities, aging populations, as well as anyone somehow marginalized by our use of technology to access information in any way, shape, or form. As such, we have a company-wide commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind. That information and technology are accessible to all people, including those who have disabilities. Despite our best efforts, we recognize that there may be occasions when some users might experience some difficulties accessing some content on the site. Should you run into any issues, please get in touch with us so we can address the problem and keep on breaking down barriers for you.
We believe, and are committed to going the extra mile
As part of this commitment, we’ve adopted the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Accessibility Guidelines in the design and development of our products. As such, our website and documentation are designed not only to comply with, but exceed requirements found in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), level AA.
We fully support the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), as well as inclusion principles found in:
- the Standard du Gouvernement du Québec sur les Ressources Informationnelles (SGQRI-008),
- the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA),
- the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (CCRF),
- the Canadian Human Rights Act (CHRA), and of course,
- the Accessible Canada Act (ACA).
It is our policy to ensure that everyone – and we do mean everyone – can enjoy full and equal access to digital offerings.
We believe, and are committed to helping you make the web more accessible for all.
We believe and are committed to accessibility validation
As part of our commitment to accessibility and inclusion, we continuously test our content, using third party assistive technologies and automated accessibility tools. Our website is monitored regularly using the Deque System’s Axe DevTools browser extension and screen reader technologies used by people who are blind, such as NVDA and VoiceOver. We systematically test our interactive features using keyboard navigation to ensure that navigation without the use of a mouse is handled properly.
We’re always eager to improve on what we have, and while our team is continuously improving our website as technology advances, we understand the accessible experience can always be improved. If there’s anything we can do to improve our site’s accessibility features, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Did you know?
According Statista, 25% of internet users worldwide were aged 45 or older as of 2021. This means that a quarter of all internet traffic around the world comes from audience members that are somewhere on a spectrum of hearing, vision and cognitive decline, as they slowly age into their senior years. Are you considering their declining senses, as you design and create the assets you use in your materials and presentations?
