In 2018 alone, a total of 2,314 lawsuits were filed against American organizations on the basis of their content not being inclusive of people with disabilities. That was a jaw-dropping 181% increase over the number of lawsuits filed in 2017. Overnight, thousands of businesses found out the hard way that digital accessibility was indeed, a very serious requirement.
